Warranty and Repair Policy

Hamilton Jewelers Pavilions stands behind every piece we sell. Our in-house jewelers, Certified Master Gemologist, and watch service department have cared for Sacramento families since 1946, and that same team handles your warranty and repair needs.

Every piece of jewelry purchased from Hamilton Jewelers Pavilions is covered against defects in materials and workmanship for one year from the date of purchase. If a defect appears within that period, we will repair the piece at no charge or, where repair is not possible, replace it with an equivalent item.

The warranty covers:

• Loose or lost stones caused by a defective setting
• Broken prongs, clasps, or links that fail under normal wear
• Flaws in the metal, plating, or finishing present at the time of sale

The warranty does not cover:

• Damage from accidents, impact, chemicals, or improper care
• Normal wear, including scratches, dulling, and thinning of rhodium plating or gold finishes
• Loss or theft of the piece or any stone
• Work performed by another jeweler after purchase
• Ring sizing beyond one size up or down from the original

We are an authorized dealer for Cartier, IWC Schaffhausen, Panerai, and Breitling. Every watch we sell carries the manufacturer’s international warranty, which we activate in our showroom at the time of sale.

• Cartier, IWC Schaffhausen, and Panerai: 8 years with in-store activation
• Breitling: 2 to 5 years, depending on the model

Manufacturer warranties cover manufacturing defects. They exclude damage from misuse, water intrusion after a broken seal, battery replacement, and normal wear to the strap, bracelet, and case. Please refer to the warranty documentation that came with your watch for the exact terms.

Warranty service for these brands is performed by the manufacturer’s authorized service center. We handle the intake, secure shipping, and follow-up for you at no charge.

Bring your Hamilton Jewelers Pavilions purchase to our showroom at any time for:

• Professional cleaning and polishing
• Prong and setting inspection
• Clasp and link check
• Watch battery check

We recommend a checkup every six months for rings worn daily.

Our repair department serves all fine jewelry and timepieces, whether or not you purchased them from us. Services include:

• Ring sizing and shank replacement
• Prong retipping and stone tightening
• Stone replacement and matching
• Chain and clasp repair
• Engraving
• Pearl and bead restringing
• Watch battery replacement, band adjustment, and full movement service
• Custom redesign of heirloom pieces

Repair estimates are free. We inspect the piece, quote the work in writing, and begin only after you approve the estimate. Most jewelry repairs are completed within 2 weeks; watch service through a manufacturer takes 4 to 6 weeks. Repair work carries a 90-day guarantee on the specific work performed.

Our Certified Appraiser provides written appraisals for insurance, estate, and resale purposes. Appraisals are $200 per item. For five or more items, we offer an hourly rate; contact us for a quote.

Call us at (916) 927-2300 before shipping any item. We will email you insured shipping instructions. Pack the item securely in a plain outer box, and never write “jewelry” or a brand name on the package. Items sent without prior arrangement are not insured in transit to us.

To make a claim, bring the item to our showroom or contact us with your receipt and a description of the issue. We will inspect the piece and confirm coverage within 3 business days. Warranty coverage applies to the original purchaser and is not transferable.
